Dr. Montes now offers Body Sculpting by Tumescent Liposuction in the privacy and comfort of the office!
What is Tumescent Liposuction? A method of liposuction developed in the mid to late 1980's involving the instillation of fluids which contain local anesthesia and blood vessel constrictors. This fluid is infused directly into the area of fat to be removed. It provides an excellent level of anesthesia and results in minimal bleeding and bruising. This method has been found to be of lower risk than methods involving general anesthesia and can be safely provided in an office setting. Patients typically resume normal activities in only 3-7 days and post operative pain is minimal. While liposuction is an excellent way to help achieve that body that you've always wanted, keep in mind that it's primary intent is to remove isolated areas of fat that have not been successfully reduced by dieting and exercise. It is NOT a replacement for dieting. While it is true that fat cells removed do not grow back, overeating after liposuction can result in weight gain in other areas.
If you are interested in achieving that shape that has been impossible to attain up until now, consider liposuction. Please contact our office for more information or to make a consultation appointment at (828) 322-3017. A brochure can also be requested through our contact us page. |
