Piedmont Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. McDonell is a graduate of Yale University and the Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1972. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgery. He served two years in the Navy at Long Beach, California, Naval Hospital, prior to beginning practice in Hickory in 1974.

Dr. Goins is a native of Charlotte and graduate of Duke University and the University of North Carolina Medical School at Chapel Hill. He completed internship and residency at UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He practiced OB/GYN in Rock Hill, South Carolina for three years prior to coming to Hickory in 1984.

Dr. Montes is a native of California and a graduate of Arizona State University and the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. Her internship and residency were completed at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco. She practiced OB/GYN in California and New York prior to coming to Hickory in 1990. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the mother of twins. She speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr.Richardson is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed his residency training at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and has served in the United States Army and the New Jersey National Guard. He and his wife Carina, have one daughter and reside in Hickory.
