At Piedmont Obstetrics and Gynecology, we offer complete obstetrical care,  including infertility and high risk obstetrics.   We are fortunate enough to have an Intensive Care Nursery at Frye Regional Medical Center  with 2 neonatologists on staff full time so that we may provide, even our high risk patients, with state of the art care, without having to transfer them to more distant hospitals.

During a pregnancy, patients are seen by 5 different practitioners (Dr. Goins,  Dr. Montes, Dr. Richardson, Cheryl Arnold NP, and Nancy Sciarra NP).  In this way the patient becomes familiar and comfortable with everyone.   Should she need to drop in, on an emergent basis, whichever practitioner is available to see her, will already be familiar with her case.   She gets the input and knowledge from 5 people instead of one.  And when the important day comes to deliver the baby, she is never delivered by a stranger.

For your convenience in our office,  we have an ultrasound machine (with videotape capabilities) and a full time ultrasonographer which allows any required ultrasound studies to be done easily during one of your regularly scheduled visits.  We do file insurance for pregnancy care.  For the insurance plans we accept see the Insurance area of this site. Being delivered at Frye Regional Medical Center you will automatically be entitled to prenatal education classes, breast feeding classes,  prenatal exercise classes and hospital tours as part of your hospital package.  As an extra bonus, all mothers receive a complimentary newborn car seat upon their departure from the hospital.  .
